Abstract
We simplify the computation of the null distribution of the Wilcoxon signed rank test when zeros and ties are present. Using a linked list to guide computation, we calculate only those intermediate values that are necessary for updating to get the final probability. Symmetry and boundary conditions are used to keep the size of the linked list to a minimum. A windows program for sample sizes n ≤ 200 is available from the world wide web.
