Contemporary Arab Affairs seeks to publish work by specialists, policy experts and scholars from the region itself and the international community. Drawing on the expertise of the Centre for Arab Unity Studies, a well-established publisher of research in Arabic, the journal will present the best of modern Arab scholarship in the English language. Journal of Islamic Law and Culture Editor-in-Chief: Aminah Beverly McCloud, DePaul University, USA Managing Editors: Vincent Cornell, Emory University; Scott Hibbard, DePaul University and Stephen Sheppard, University of Arkansas Volume 10, 2008, 3 issues per year Print ISSN: 1528-817X, Online ISSN: 1753-4534 Journal of Islamic Law and Culture publishes scholarly articles and reviews on Islamic law, with an emphasis on the significance in law of the intersection of Western and Muslim legal culture. It is deeply concerned with the Muslim experience with the West, particularly as this exchange has been expressed in law. The journal brings together experts in Islamic law, religion and culture to consider both issues of division and opportunities for cooperation, whether rooted in classical Sharia or modern culture.
