If your article is at this stage, any queries should be sent to the journal editor
Your article comes to us by email from the editor, via CATS, or from Manuscript Central
Your article is logged on CATS (our production tracking system), then sent on to a copy-editor (for most journals). You receive an acknowledgement from us at this stage
The production editor sends your copy-edited article to the typesetter
If your article is at this stage, any queries should be sent to the production editor
You receive an email when your proofs are ready, giving you instructions for accessing your proofs
You return your corrections to the production editor (or editor if arranged)
The production editor makes any necessary corrections and sends the article to the typesetter for correction
The typesetter sends revised proofs, if needed, to the production editor. The production editor checks that corrections have been made
The production editor instructs the typesetter to send final files to printer and to online provider
The printer sends unbound advance/bound copy to the production editor
Copies of the journal are despatched to society members and subscribers. Reprints and issues are posted to authors if ordered
