Manuscript Central Online Peer-review and Manuscript Tracking System Manuscript Central is an Internet-based application that currently services more than 30,000 manuscript submissions per month, supporting more than 2.6m registered users. It facilitates online submission, assignment of reviewers, online peer review and associated dialogue with authors and referees.

For authors, there are a number of benefits of submitting to a journal that uses an online system: A reduction in paperwork, as well as a reduction in the costs (and risks) associated with posting manuscripts; reduction in time from submission to final decision; automatic E-mail correspondence; ability to track manuscript status online; ability for authors to access reviewers' comments and submit amendments.
