ALCOD is a cooperative multiagent intelligent decision support system to assist stock market surveillance teams to classify alerted noncompliant events transacted on the exchange. ALCOD facilitates the review of the classifications. The system combines heuristic approxi mate and causal reasoning and is centered around a relational database which is used as a control blackboard.
