Strategic implications of HIV/AIDS in South Africa 

Author: Lyndy Heinecken - Lindy Heinecken is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Military Studies (CEMIS) at the South African Military Academy. She holds a M.Soc Sc from the University of Cape Town and is reading for a PhD in military sociology at the Department of War Studies, King's College London. She has published extensively on a wide range of human-resource issues, including the management of diversity within the armed forces, gender integration, homosexuality, labour relations within armed forces, HIV/AIDS and the military, military education and training, and, most recently, on the experiences of officers in operations other than war.
