Pigments of the Imagination: Theorising, Performing and Historicising Mixed Race 

Authors: Penny Edwards - Penny Edwards is Assistant Professor of Southeast Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research interests include colonialism, nationalism, gender and histories and discourses of race in Cambodia and Burma. Her most recent publication is Cambodge: The Cultivation of a Nation, 1860-1945 (Hawai'i University Press, 2006);  Debjani Ganguly - Debjani Ganguly is director of research at the Centre for Cross-Cultural Research, Australian National University. She has published in the areas of caste and dalit studies, Gandhi and nonviolence, global Anglophone literatures and Indian literary criticism. Her recent publications include Caste, Colonialism and Counter-Modernity: Notes on a Postcolonial Hermeneutics of Caste (Routledge, 2005); Jacqueline Lo - Jacqueline Lo is Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities, Australian National University. Her research interests include Asian Australian cultural politics, postcolonial literature and performance, and critical race studies. Recent publications include Staging Nation: English Language Theatre in Malaysia and Singapore (HKUP, 2004) and Performance and Cosmopolitics: Cross-cultural Transactions in Australasia (Palgrave Macmillan, 2006, co-written with Helen Gilbert)
