Abstract
The author first considers the aetiology of malnutrition and, then, some aspects of preventative nutrition. A detailed survey follows of nutritional factors and their role in physiology and health, e.g. folic acid, thiamine, pyridoxine, zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium, chromium, copper, fluoride and manganese. The role of suitable nutrition in preparation for parenthood is stressed.
