Abstract
This article introduces and fully discusses the definition of z-score, the most commonly used standard score. Some of the related topics, including the standard normal distribution and the central limit theorem, have also been presented and discussed. The application of z-score used in clinical trials is demonstrated using a real world example from a schizophrenia study.
