Abstract
In a recent paper, Ahmad (1992) proposes a test for decreasing mean residual life class based on complete data and shows that the new test performs better for several alternatives than previously known tests. In this paper, we extend Ahmad test to accommodate the randomly censored data. We compare our test with a previously known test, which is developed for a randomly censored model. We also study the loss in efficiency due to censoring.
