Abstract
The pharmacokinetics of desmosine following a 5 mg intravenous dose was determined in five sheep. The biological half-life (t1/2 β) of desmosine varied between 81-489 min. Urinary recovery of unchanged desmosine indicated that the compound is not extensively metabolized and that the primary route of elimination is via the kidney.
