Abstract

All current treatments for breast cancer can result in serious sexual impairments, but this important aspect of cancer care has been largely neglected. This paper contains a brief summary of breast cancer treatments and their potential sexual side effects. The remedies which are available at this time are also discussed. This material is presented to encourage professionals to become more aware of and more attentive to the sexual needs of their cancer patients.
