Abstract
This editorial presents facts on the rapid changes that we—the human societies all over the world—are facing right now due to the increase of environmental pollution and the sharp decrease in various natural resources after many years of unsustainable exploitations. With the facts, potential solutions and ideas for mitigation and sustainable exploitations are presented, as they start being implemented across the globe. Also, a discussion on how all this links to environmental forensics is included. The aim of this editorial is to synthesize information on global warming and sustainability (discussing both the effects and solutions) and encourage a forum on this topic in the Environmental Forensics Journal.
