Annals of the Association of American Geographers Association of American Geographers The
Annals of the Association of American Geographers was first published in 1911. It is recognized as the Association's premier journal for major research articles and in-depth book reviews for all fields of geography. To be accepted, a paper must adhere to a high standard of scholarship and make an important contribution to geographic knowledge. It should also be grounded in the relevant literature of the specialization it represents and, where appropriate, establish relationships to themes within the broader discipline. Contents may include invited essays and commentaries, review articles, Presidential Addresses, memorials, and occasional map supplements.
Irish Geography Geographical Society of Ireland Irish Geography is the premier peer-reviewed journal devoted to the geography of Ireland. It has an international distribution and is read on all five continents. Its reputation for quality is long established and standards are maintained by an internationally based editorial advisory board.
Irish Geography has been published by the Geographical Society of Ireland since 1944. An early editorial decision was to concentrate on the geography of Ireland and this has been maintained ever since. This focus has been a source of strength to the journal and has been important in enhancing its international reputation. More recently, to reflect the changing context and increased importance of globalization and migration to Ireland, a decision was made to also allow material on the Irish diaspora and overseas networks to be included in the journal.

The Professional Geographer Association of American Geographers The Professional Geographer, initially a publication of the American Society for Professional Geographers, became a journal of the
Association of American Geographers in 1949. It publishes short articles of academic or applied geography, emphasizing empirical studies and methodologies, as well as book reviews. These features may range in content and approach from rigorously analytic to broadly philosophical or prescriptive. The journal provides a forum for new ideas and alternative viewpoints.
