Usage Reports
How can I view my organisation's usage statistics?
1) Sign In to your library’s informaworldTM account using the administrator username and password.
2) Go to My Account and click on the Reports tab.
3) Select Email administrator if you would like the final report to be sent to the account administrator.
Alternatively you can request the report be emailed to another address by selecting Email Other and typing in the email address of the intended recipient.
4) Select a preferred report format (CSV download or HTML on screen).
5) Order a usage report by clicking Order Report beside the required report.
6) The report will be delivered to the administrator or alternative email inbox in due course.
How up to date are the usage reports?
The usage reports are collated each month, giving the usage up to and including the previous month.
Do the usage reports include all usage for Taylor and Francis subscriptions?
No, the informaworldTM usage reports only contain activity on informaworldTM. For usage on MetaPress, IngentaConnect or other services you will need to obtain reports directly from those services.
Are the usage reports COUNTER-compliant?
Usage reports are intended to be COUNTER-compliant and are currently undergoing audit. It is intended that Journal and Database reports are COUNTER-compliant to release 2 of the code of practice for journals and databases. An additional report is available for subscribers of the subject archive products. eBook and Encyclopedia reports are COUNTER-compliant to release 1 of the code of practice for Books.
Journal Report 1
This reports on all downloads for all journals on www.informaworld.com. The report includes downloads for articles of any age, and by any user within your IP ranges, or using a username and password you have registered for shared use. As per COUNTER rules, a record is provided for every journal to which you subscribe, and every journal for which there has been an article download.
Journal Report 1a
This reports on all downloads for journal articles within the archive collections on www.informaworld.com (Education Archive, Physics Archive, Chemistry Archive, Business & Economics Archive). As per COUNTER rules, a record is provided for every journal to which you subscribe (via the archive product), even if there is no activity. If you do not subscribe to any archive products this report will not be available to you.
Database Report 1 (this report is pending)
Ergonomics Abstracts, Addiction Abstracts, Educational Research Abstracts and Studies on Women and Gender Abstracts within the www.informaworld.com platform.
Searches: If you hold a subscription to any of the A&I databases, any quick search or advanced search on informaworld is counted as a search against the product, unless the user has specifically deselected this option in advanced search.
Sessions: A database session is any session on informaworld that includes a search that covers a database product, or involves viewing of the database product homepage, or any abstract record within the database.
Book Report 1
This reports on all complete book downloads for all eBooks and Reference Works on www.informaworld.com. As per COUNTER rules, a record is provided for every eBook to which you subscribe, and every eBook for which there has been a complete download.
Book Report 2
This reports on all section downloads for all eBooks and Reference Works www.informaworld.com. Many eBooks are available to download as a complete eBook, or chapter by chapter. The chapter-by-chapter downloads are in this report. Complete downloads are available in Book Report 1. As per COUNTER rules, a record is provided for every eBook to which you subscribe, and every eBook for which there has been a chapter download.
Book Report 3
This reports on turaways for all eBooks and Reference Works on www.informaworld.com. A turnaway is defined as being denied access due to 5 concurrent users already having access to the document.
