Journal of Sports Sciences marks its 25th Anniversary at the BASES annual conference in Bath University 2007  The Journal of Sports Sciences held an enjoyable reception to mark its 25th Anniversary at the BASES annual conference in Bath University on the 12th September 2007. The event was well attended by many academics/scholars associated with the Journal over the past 25 years. Some notable attendees included the original General Editor, Professors Thomas Reilly (Liverpool John Moores University) and Professor Clyde Williams (Loughborough University), one of the four original members of the Editorial Board. The event was concluded by short speeches from the current Editor in Chief, Professor Alan Nevill (University of Wolverhampton) and Professor Thomas Reilly, both of whom commended its achievements over the past 25 years and thanked the publishers, Routledge Taylor and Francis, and the many individuals who have worked tirelessly to achieve its enviable position of being presently ranked 13th out of 70 sports-science related journals in the ISI Web of Knowledge/Science index.
