Papers accepted become the copyright of the Journal, unless otherwise specifically agreed.
Contributors should bear in mind that they are addressing an international audience. Manuscripts that do not conform to the requirements listed below will not be considered. All articles and viewpoints are submitted to at least two referees before acceptance for publication.
Manuscripts should be sent to The Editors, Irish Studies Review, Bath Spa University, Newton Park, Bath BA2 9BN, UK; isr@bathspa.ac.uk Articles can only be considered if three complete copies of each manuscript are submitted. They should not exceed 12,000 words and should be typed on one side of the paper, double spaced, with ample margins, and bear the title of the contribution. Name(s) of the author(s) and the address where the work was carried out should appear on a separate cover sheet. For refereeing purposes the author should not be identified elsewhere on the manuscript. Each article should be accompanied by an abstract of 100-150 words on a separate sheet, and a short note of biographical details. The full postal address of the author who will check proofs and receive correspondence and offprints should also be included on the cover sheet. All pages should be numbered.
If submitting a disk, please use Word, Wordperfect or ascii format.
Tables and captions to illustrations. Tables must be typed on separate sheets and not included as part of the text. The captions to illustrations should be gathered together and also typed on a separate sheet. Tables and figures should be numbered by Arabic numerals. The approximate position of tables and figures should be indicated in the manuscript. Captions should include keys to symbols.
Figures. Please supply one set of artwork in a finished form, suitable for reproduction. If this is not possible, figures will be redrawn by the publishers.

Word templates Proofs will be sent to authors if there is sufficient time to do so. They should be corrected and returned to the Assistant Editor within three days. Major alterations to the text cannot be accepted.
