Instructions for Authors

Aims and Scope: Econometric Reviews probes the limits of econometric knowledge, featuring regular, state-of-the-art refereed articles and book reviews, as well as retrospective, critical, and readable surveys of current or developing topics. Special issues of the journal are developed by a world-renowned editorial board that brings together leading experts on a variety of specific themes in econometrics. Reviews of books, software, and benchmarking of existing software are also within the scope of the journal.

Econometric Reviews offers readers, such as econometricians, business economists, statisticians, sociologists, and psychologists, a unique perspective on state-of-the-art information on econometric subjects. Address manuscripts to the Editor: Esfandiar Maasoumi, Department of Economics, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX 75275-0496; E-mail: maasoumi@mail.smu.edu. Papers must be submitted by electronic uploading of the manuscript to Editorial Express at https://gemini.econ.umd.edu/cgi-bin/e-editor/e-submit_v7.cgi?dbase=er. A PDF version is required for this purpose and should be emailed to the editorial office at er@smu.edu. The office will then initiate the review process and will contact authors regarding any submission fees and other matters. All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs become the property of the publisher.

All parts of the manuscript should be typewritten, double-spaced, with margins of at least one inch on all sides. Number manuscript pages consecutively throughout the paper. Authors should also supply a shortened version of the title suitable for the running head, not exceeding 50 character spaces. Each article should be summarized in an abstract of not more than 100 words. Avoid abbreviations, diagrams, and reference to the text in the abstract.References.
