Editorial Policy:
My goal, as Editor, is to publish a representative and diverse selection of the finest scholarship being produced on human communication and to promote reading and discussion across the discipline about key ideas. Submissions from varied contexts of communication inquiry are welcome (e.g., media studies, discourse, health, organizations, families, and so forth). Submissions to CM may take the form of original research (qualitative or quantitative), theoretical papers, original reviews, or methodological articles.
Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts should be submitted to the journal electronically at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/rcmm. Manuscripts should conform to the conventions of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association and include an abstract (not to exceed 120 words). Remove the title page when uploading the manuscript, as author information is entered separately. An author note, submitted along with the cover letter, should include complete biographical information for each author (full name, title, highest degree, university granting the degree, current affiliation, email address), along with relevant information concerning the basis of the study (e.g., a dissertation or large scale multidisciplinary project) and other background (e.g., prior presentations of results, grant support, acknowledgements). If there are other articles (either published or under review elsewhere) that draw from the same research, this should be clarified both in the manuscript itself and in the cover letter accompanying the manuscript. Information that identifies authors should be excluded from the body of the manuscript.
CM adheres to a policy of blind, peer review. In order that authorship remains completely blind, author name(s) must appear only on the title page, references to any author's prior work must be masked, and internal identifications in the text must be avoided. Manuscripts that have already appeared in any other published form or are under review at any other journal cannot be considered. Upon notification of acceptance, authors must ? by NCA policy ? assign copyright to NCA and authors must provide copyright clearance for any copyrighted materials. Authors must provide camera-ready copy of any artwork, tables, or figures.
Free article access: Corresponding authors can receive 50 free reprints, free online access to their article through our website (www.informaworld.com) and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. Complimentary reprints are available through Rightslink® and additional reprints can be ordered through Rightslink® when proofs are received.
